[LUNA SEA] Self-cover albums "MOTHER" and "STYLE" released on November 29th!
"MOTHER" released in 1994 and "STYLE" released in 1996... These two masterpieces were produced during the late '90s, when LUNA SEA rose to an unshakable position in the Japanese rock scene. A self-cover album featuring full retakes of all the songs has now been released!
Following the previous album "CROSS," Steve Lillywhite was appointed as the mix engineer, and these two legendary albums are revived after a time span of about 30 years.

It has been decided that INORAN's 2013 video work "I'M HERE" will be screened at a memorial screening for music video director Sojiro Otsubo, who passed away in 2020.
This is a documentary film shot by Otsubo accompanying INORAN on his European tour with just one camera.

"TOUR BACK TO THE ROCK'N ROLL 2022" will finally kick off this weekend with a performance at Shibuya WWW X on September 11th.
To commemorate the band's long-awaited tour, which will be the first in three years since 2019, a special "BACK TO THE ROCK'N ROLL 2022" project has begun!

Following the successful completion of LUNA SEA's two-day "Resurrection -A NEW VOICE-" concert at Nippon Budokan, and still buzzing with excitement, INORAN will kick off his long-awaited solo tour "TOUR BACK TO THE ROCK'N ROLL 2022" next week.
This tour will be the first band set in three years since 2019, and will see INORAN BAND reunite after a one-year interval and return to rock and roll!
Kicking off in Tokyo on September 11th, the tour will then travel to Osaka, Nagoya, Mito, and Tokyo, with a total of six shows planned, including a birthday live.

LUNA SEA guitarist INORAN has completed his new solo album, "IN MY OASIS Billboard Session." This is his 16th full-length album, and 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of his solo career.
The "Billboard Session" in the album title refers to a four-person live performance that INORAN has been holding regularly since 2019 at the world-class live restaurant Billboard Live. The members, INORAN, Takuya Hayama (piano), Yui (violin), and Yumi Shimazu (cello), have been performing his representative solo songs in a more elegant and sophisticated acoustic arrangement, making use of the vocals and the tones of live instruments.
Regarding Billboard Sessions, INORAN said, "I've been fortunate enough to be able to perform on the Billboard Live stage and continue to do so, which has given me so much as a singer and as a musician. This is one of those "irreplaceable places" for me. That's why I want to reflect the elements I've cultivated here in my latest work."
The new album, "IN MY OASIS Billboard Session," was completed with the concept of recording a special performance at Billboard Live, and was recorded live at Billboard Live YOKOHAMA by INORAN, Hayama, Yui, and Shimazu.
The album includes 12 songs in total, including 10 classic Billboard Sessions songs such as "raize," "Beautiful Now," "I swear," and "Sennen Hana," which have been rearranged for this live performance and are symbolic of their career, as well as new songs and cover songs.
What was impressive was that INORAN's singing as a vocalist has become even more persuasive, especially in the opening songs M-1 "raize" and M-2 "Daylight". Through the production of the heavily self-produced trilogy "Libertine Dreams", "Between The World And Me" and "ANY DAY NOW" and various live performances leading up to this work, INORAN's singing has clarified his vision of what he wanted to achieve, which is "more expressive singing", and he has reached even greater heights with this new album "IN MY OASIS Billboard Session".
Another important aspect is the arrangement, created by INORAN himself and keyboardist Hayama, who worked on the arrangement together, which faithfully reflects the worldview of the original while also achieving a wonderful harmony between the vocals and live instruments.
For example, the A-melody of M-1 "raize" uses the melody of JS Bach's "Cello Piece No. 1: Prelude," the intro of M-5 "Starlight" uses a modern harmonic approach reminiscent of Michael Nyman's "The Piano," and M-9 "Long Time Comin'" has an elegant 3/4 rhythm that is influenced by the waltz. These arrangements are noteworthy for their effective use of classical music elements, and the new age approach based on synthesizers and piano in the popular song M-8 "Sennenbana" makes INORAN's unique and fantastical worldview of the song even more vivid and vivid.
INORAN's solo works, from "Monsoon Baby" on his first album "Omoi" to the present, include many songs that make effective use of female vocals.
This album features memorable female vocals on the cover song "Time After Time (feat. Mao Denda)" on M-4, the live staple "Fading Memory (feat. Mao Denda)" on M-6, and the new song "Glorious Sky (feat. Mao Denda)" on M-11. The presence of talented singer Mao Denda, who participated in these songs, is also a major point.
Denda grew up in a musical family with a famous clarinetist father and a pianist mother, and has a wide range of musical tastes, including traditional classical music, 90s rock and R&B, and was greatly influenced by LUNA SEA. She also participated in "INORAN 2022 PREMIUM ACOUSTIC LIVE -NO NAME? LIMITED DAY-" held at Billboard Live TOKYO on March 14th this year, prior to the production of this album, and performed a brilliant and exquisite chorus work in collaboration with INORAN.
In this work, she shows off her truly dignified vocals in important songs from the middle of the album onwards, such as the cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" and the new song "Glorious Sky (feat. Mao Denda)". An ensemble that includes live string instruments requires more accurate singing pitch, but Denda is also excellent in this skill, and her voice matches well with this ensemble that is mainly piano and strings.
Up until now, Billboard Sessions has featured covers of a variety of Western and Japanese songs, including Oasis' "Wonderwall," Mr.Children's "Kakurete Kiss Shiyou" (Let's Kiss in the Car), and Kenshi Yonezu's "Lemon." It's very interesting that INORAN covered "Time After Time" in this album, which recreates the details of such live performances, and it seems that the first record he ever bought was Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time." Denda's powerful vocals are heavily featured in this song, which is also one of the highlights.
The new song "Glorious Sky (feat. Mao Denda)" features beautiful, lyrical and colorful chorus by INORAN and Denda, becoming a major highlight towards the end of the album.
"Glorious Sky (feat. Mao Denda)" is a grand number with lyrics entirely in Japanese, the first since "All We Are" from the 10th album "BEAUTIFUL NOW". This song firmly contains the musical elements typical of Billboard Session, such as the power of INORAN and Denda's singing, and the lyrical ensemble of Hayama, Yui, and Shimazu. Leaving the pleasant afterglow of this song behind, the album comes to a graceful ending with the last M-12 "Thank you".
His latest album, "IN MY OASIS Billboard Session," was completed in the 25th year of his solo career. He has a wide range of musical background, including rock, folk, electronica, and ambient, but the sophisticated and mellow worldview of this album is also a unique element.
After the release of this work "IN MY OASIS Billboard Session", a live tour "INORAN IN MY OASIS Billboard Session" reflecting the world view of the album will be held, starting with the Billboard Live TOKYO performance on July 9th (Sat) and 10th (Sun). Anticipation is building for how the brilliant new songs will be reproduced at the live show.

INORAN×LOVE FOR NIPPON "Prayer Misanga" new colors now available!
INORAN×LOVE FOR NIPPON's charity item "Prayer Misanga" has been running as a means of supporting the disaster-stricken areas through interaction with the people of Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture, which was hit by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
This year marks 11 years since the earthquake, and new colors will be released.
The "Prayer Misanga" are made from organic cotton grown in Cambodian cotton fields that were once minefields. The cotton is hand-dyed and hand-knitted one by one at Yamamoto TIME in Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture, an area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
This year's friendship bracelets are made using herb dyes and rosemary from a herb garden created in the Hanakama district of Yamamoto Town, a vacant lot left behind after the tsunami.
Proceeds from the sale will go towards supporting the recovery efforts in areas affected by the tsunami.
We hope that you will take this bracelet and show your sympathy to the disaster-stricken areas.

A Live & Document Blu-ray has been released from the live concert "TOKYO 5 NIGHTS" held with an audience at LIQUIDROOM ebisu last September, which includes the stage on September 29th as well as a documentary that closely follows the 10 performances over 5 days!
The live footage is an uncut recording of the second stage on September 29th, INORAN's birthday, from a live concert with an audience that was forced to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was the first to be held with a band in about two years.
The documentary is based on the concept of "10 perspectives" and contains approximately two hours of footage that mixes behind the scenes footage from the 10 shows over the five days of "TOKYO 5 NIGHTS," live performances, and an interview with INORAN.
This package includes five days of "TOKYO 5 NIGHTS," which returned to its rock roots after various activities during the COVID-19 pandemic!
